Dr Alvin Ng specialises in interventional cardiology, general cardiology, and cardiovascular imaging. Dr Ng trained in interventional cardiology at Singapore General Hospital, Cedars-Sinai Hospital (Los Angeles) and John Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore). In 2002, Dr Ng set up the nuclear cardiology service at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Under his leadership, more than 2,000 nuclear cardiology studies were performed every year. He also served as the director of the hospital's Coronary Care Unit for more than 5 years.
Dr Ng was appointed adjunct assistant professor at the National University of Singapore in 2009 and received teaching awards from 2010-2014 including the Role Model award.
