SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Dr Kannan is a Family Physician and Designated Workplace doctor accredited by Ministry of Manpower, Singapore. Dr Kannan read Medicine at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia and graduated with honors in 2008. After 2 years of medical practice in Sydney , Dr Kannan returned home to Singapore to continue his medical practice. He has been in active clinical practice within family medicine since 2011 and has completed his Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine and in Occupational Medicine at National University of Singapore. Other than clinical practice, his other passion is teaching and he was with Yoong Loo Lin School of Medicine as an adjunct lecturer from 2014-2017 and as a clinical instructor with DUKE-NUS faculty of medicine from 2014-2017.
His main clinical interest include chronic disease management , geriatric medicine and public health.
His current practice is apportioned between general practice clinics and several nursing homes. He is well versed in English, Tamil and some Malay.
