SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Dr Chen is a Consultant Dermatologist who specialises in skin cancers and pigmentary disorders. She also practises in the fields of general dermatology, surgical dermatology, lasers and cosmetic dermatology.
Prior to joining Dermatology & Surgery, Dr Chen was a Consultant Dermatologist at the National Skin Centre and a Visiting Consultant Dermatologist at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
Dr Chen graduated from Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University and completed her residency training in China before coming to Singapore. After taking her Basic Specialist Training in Internal Medicine in Singapore, she started her dermatology training as an Advanced Specialist Trainee in Dermatology at the National Skin Centre in 2012. She became a Ministry of Health accredited dermatologist in 2015.
Dr Chen received her Master of Science from the National University of Singapore. She has extensive experience in basic science research and dermatological research in both Singapore and the US. She has published more than twenty research papers in peer-reviewed international journals and presented her research works in many dermatology or research conferences. Dr Chen also co-authored several English books and one Chinese book on dermatology.
