SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Dr Ranjiv Sivanandan is a Specialist Board Certified General Surgeon who has devoted his career to the practice and development of Thyroid and Head & Neck Surgery. He obtained his FRCSEd and MMed (Surgery) in 1997, and received his advanced training in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Stanford University, California, USA. Prior to establishing his private practice, Dr Ranjiv was Senior Consultant and Chief of the Head and Neck Service at the Department of Surgery, Singapore General Hospital. He co-founded the SGH Thyroid Group, and was its Chairman from 2007 to 2009. He was also Principal Investigator at the Head and Neck Cancer Research Laboratory at the National Cancer Centre. Dr Ranjiv is an Adj A/Prof at the YLL School of Medicine where he continues to be involved in undergraduate and postgraduate training and education.
