SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Dr Lam Pin Min graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1993 and obtained his postgraduate qualifications – FRCS (Edinburgh) and MMed(Ophthalmology) in 2000. He also was trained as an Aviation Medicine Specialist and had obtained his postgraduate Diploma in Aviation Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians (London) in 1997. He served as a Flight Surgeon with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) from 1995 to 2003. He has been appointed a Member of the Civil Aviation Medical Board and Advisor to the Society of Aviation Medicine Singapore. As a trained surgeon and specialist in paediatric ophthalmology, he worked at the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital from 2005 to 2013, before going into private practice in 2014. He is currently a Visiting Senior Consultant at the Singapore National Eye Centre. Dr Lam was also actively involved as the Singapore representative in the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office (WPRO) from 2014-2020 and was the Executive Board Member of the World Health Organisation (WHO) from 2019-2020.
