Can a High White blood cell count be constipation
Background information I have anorexia and this started after I started recovery. So I went to the ER vomiting and screaming in pain they ran tests and found out my White blood cell count was 11,000 but nothing else. They then had me saw a specialist where I did a barium swallow and they said it was just constipation they also said i GERD.  Could it have just been constipation or something else? As the pain has come back, I have really bad acid reflux, blood in stool sometimes and other times it smells metallic and is green.  What could this be or am over-thinking these?

@pinkonrs I am sorry to hear you are dealing with symptoms like these. Having high white blood cell count is quite non-specific when you are experiencing GERD symptoms. Constipation does not cause high white cell count. It is possible you have other conditions causing the symptoms you are experiencing right now such as gallstone condition blocking the bile duct or diverticulitis.
