Chances of getting tetanus from scratches from tree?
Hi doctors, I am worried that I will get tetanus. I got some scratches from a tree bark 2 days ago and tried to get a tetanus booster today but couldn’t as I had a mild fever (presumably from infection of the scratches). My last booster was in march 2012 (so the 10 years effectiveness of the tetanus vaccine will be “expired” in about 3 months). I am unable to get the booster shot in the next few days due to being quarantined. Is there a risk of getting tetanus and what should I do?
