Ear infection pain?
I've had an ear infection for over a week now. My doctor has prescribed anti-biotics and ear drops however the pain in my ears is getting unbearable. I am a grown man in tears over the nonstop pain. Advil/Tylenol is not helping. The doctor just keeps telling me "it'll be over in a few days". It's been a week. Is there anything I can do to stop this pain?

If your ear pain is persistent despite ear drops and pain killers, please see a ear specialist or ENT specialist. The infective material trapped within the ear canal may need to be removed to speed up the recovery. There may be other causes of ear pain too. Meanwhile, please keep the ear dry, no swimming and don't cleaning of the ear with cotton bud.
