Why is there a clicking sound in my hip?
Hi, I have been working out here and there but I do not usually train my abdominal area in isolation. Recently, I tried doing leg raises and I keep hearing a clicking sound in my hip/lower back. Can I ask if there's anything to worry about? There's not pain involved and I realised it occurs every time I lift my legs up.

Dear Kurtlockman. The clicking sound that you described is crepitus. Not all joint crepitus is related to underlying disease. However if the crepitus is associated with pain or swelling, it can be suggestive of joint damage. Hope this helps.
