Hi @nightspray. Thank you for your question. 

Unfortunately not much is known regarding this and it is only postulated that they can survive to up to 1 week on surfaces however the duration of activity is ill determined. They have however been proven to be effectively removed with disinfectants.

Hi @nightspray , as what Dr. Adnaan S has indicated, much is yet unknown about the novel coronavirus - this being one of the unknown factors. Nonetheless, practicing good hand hygiene and cleaning your hands especially before eating or touching your face (eyes, mouth, etc) will help protect you against this form of spread. If your hands are visibly soiled, you will need to wash them with soap. If they appear clean, you can disinfect them with sanitiser. Hope this helps!
