I started getting a swelling and pus pockets on my thumb toe beside my nail. I let it be but then i searched up in google and found out that it was paronchya.
Now im getting a redish hardened substance on my cuticle and on my nail and skin beside the nail . it hurts when i touch it . i took a cotton ball and soaked it in water and kept it there for a while , nothing had happened except i got to clean a little pus from there. Im genuinely afraid to visit doctors so i thought i will get help through here . Please help me and tell me what to do.

Hi @camilla unfortunately this sounds like an infection that has set in and started to progress. These infections can potentially spread and even extend into the bone, making it very difficult to treat and potentially causing other serious problems. I would strongly recommend seeing a doctor as early as you can so they can examine your foot to see what treatment you may need. Definitely speak to your parents or any adults that you are with about this at the very least. I hope this helps!

I applied an antibiotic ointment called fucidin on top of the infected area last night before sleep , and i cleaned it with water and tissue today morning and later i put my feet in warm water for abt 10 mins and the hardened substance grew softer , and now its nor reddish but its pinkish and its soft , i feel like its a piece of my flesh but i have no idea. it is soft ,  and it hurts only when i touch it...i think its gonna get better if i keep repeating this process , i will try it for few more days and see , if no good result i will see a doctor. Please reply if u have any suggestions or recommendations as fast as possible! Thank you :)
