i've been having left chest pain for many years, and it's becoming more frequent. is this serious or benign?
I'm a 21 years old woman. I have chest pain in the left side; it's not exacerbated by breathing, it's irregular, tolerable (not intense at all), spontaneous (it doesn't happen while i'm working out or doing an effort) and not persistant (it happens a few times during a minute and then it stops). i don't know how to describe it exactly, but it's like something inside is being pinched?
i've had it for 7 years or more. but it's became more frequent. i don't know if it's benign, or actually serious. i'm asking in case this is something that's actually common and i shouldn't be worried. i am going to consult a doctor either way, but i just need a bit of relief.
