Persistent discomfort, tightness on/off – what is happening?
Couple of weeks ago, I was at work where I started feeling off – chest felt tighter than usual, it felt harder to breathe and a little lightheaded. Went to the doctor's after, who checked me for other COVID symptoms (e.g. fever) and was cleared. Proceeded with life and tried not to think about the persistent discomfort that came on/off.
A week later and my throat started to feel itchy. Went to the doctor's again, who checked me for other COVID symptoms and found them to be negative. But my throat was indeed inflammed, so the doctor gave me a 5-day MC. During the 5 days I never really felt 100% during the day – but I took my temperature regularly with an oral thermometer (the highest it went was 37.2C though I felt warmer than usual); there were also occasional coughs, but mostly to clear the itch.
Today's day 6 and the itchiness have subsided greatly. While I remain functional, I still feel the tightness, lightheadedness, and feverish. What is happening?

In the current situation, you will need to have a physical review with the GP that issued the MC, in order to have an assessment including examination of your lungs etc to determine what is happening.

Understand. But just to clarify – my throat barely itches anymore and it's no longer warm to the touch. Considering that the discomfort has been going on/off for the past few weeks, could they be psychosomatic due to the current situation?
