Hi, my 9 year old has had a weird cough for 6 months. It is a short, frequent cough where he barely opens his mouth. He says that it is involuntary, and I've seen him do it in his sleep. Sometimes it is frequent (several times a minute) and sometimes it goes away for an hour or two. I can't see any correlation between the cough and physical activity or anything obvious that may be causing an allergic reaction (like grass). He describes it as alleviating pressure in his chest. And I can confirm that it comes from below - it's not like he's clearing his throat. Thanks for your help!
