Ankle and Knee joints cracking and popping sounds
Hello Drs. I am an active individual who frequents the gym and runs every once or twice a week. Whenever I perform squats in the gym or begin running, there would be a pop sound at my joints followed by a slight feeling of uncomfort-ness and mild weakness that would go away after a while. What are they and should I be concerned about them?

Hello Yongkun, thanks for your query.  A pop sound or sensation in your ankles or knees with exercise is a fairly non-specific symptom. Generally so long as the joints function well and the discomfort doesn’t persist, there should not be any major issues.
