Hello! In general, after an ankle ORIF surgery the implants used nowadays are quite stable. So putting some transient weight on the injured ankle should not lead to issues. You can get a check X-ray done at your next appointment just to make sure all is going well, though chances should be slim that you would have done any damage to the ORIF surgery. Hope that helps!

Hi TKD, sorry to hear about your foot injury. From the limited pictures provided there doesn’t seem to be any major fractures. However the X-ray views don’t include an AP view of the foot so you may want to have further checks if the pain doesn’t resolve or if there’s trouble weight bearing on the foot due to pain.
