Hi @Edawaw if your ferritin is consistently low, you may have iron deficiency. If your haemoglobin level is below normal, then you should seriously consider iron replacement.
First we have to make the diagnosis, you have to look at the iron saturation (it should be low ) and total iron binding capacity (it should be raised).
If you have these results, then consider increasing iron in your diet such as eat more red meat, take iron supplements.
Concurrently, you have to see your doctor and find out the cause of the low ferritin level. Is it blood loss in the gut, blood loss through menses or reduced dietary iron intake

@klangers, you may want to get a CT scan to ensure the small bowel /right part of the large intestine is normal. If you have any altered bowel habits such as diarrhoea, constipation, or blood work up suggestive of anemia, good to consider colonoscopy as well. Hope this helps

Difficult to answer this. If you have had UC and a total colectomy ( total removal of your colon) you may have a small stump of rectum left. Please ask your surgeon about your concerns. I would suggest not to do anal play because the ilum connected to the residual anal stump may not be able to exposure to damages from anal play as well as a normal rectum does. Sorry to hear your issues, pleasee do sound out to your surgeon about it

@leigh-weimann apple cider vinegar is not considered as a medication, so there should not be a maximum dose for ACV. Usually it is reocmmended by naturopathic practitioners, so perhaps they would have a better idea?
