Dear @Siti I do not forsee any added risk for you with regards to receiving the COVID-19 vaccination. You may continue your daily anti histamines before and after receiving the vaccination. Hope this helps.

It's been 3 years since the surgery. If there is pain and crepitus, you should get an Xray and MRI of the wrist to evaluate the current situation.

Dear @ThankYou. Kindly note that HPV vaccination is recommended prior to any sexual interactions. You are right to point out that the risk of acquiring HPV is much lower if both partners are each other's " only partner for life". However no one can be 100% certain of their future and hence it is still advisable for patients to undergo HPV vaccination before sexually active. Hope this helps.

Hello! I appreciate how confusing your physical symptoms must be, and even frightening to experience them whilst on the road or at work.

The doctors you’ve seen have diagnosed stress as a factor. Many people have been experiencing higher levels of stress due to the pandemic. Of course it doesn’t mean the diagnosis you’re also worried about, which is anxiety, cannot co-exist. But that is a specific condition that a psychiatrist for instance, would be better placed to answer. Such a specialist would also be able to answer your question about what medication would be helpful, after a thorough consultation.
Meanwhile, in order to reduce your levels of stress and anxiety through non-medicinal methods, it might be helpful to keep good personal physical health. Drink plenty of water, and sleep well.

Having a conversation with someone trained is helpful too. Life coaches are trained to help people to achieve their goals and become better versions of themselves. If you would like to take the conversation further with me, you may contact me via my life coaching website: www.jadelifeandwellness.com as many clients share the same struggles as you with me.

Dear @nomanmarsuni Your mother belongs to the high risk group as she is elderly and has chronic conditions like diabetes. She will have poorer outcome in the unfortunate event if she contracts covid-19.

It is recommended that she undergoes the covid-19 vaccination. However the vaccination center will definitely check on her medical and medication history thoroughly to ensure that she is suitable for vaccination before proceeding. You may wish to proceed to book her Covid-19 vaccination.

Please be reminded to press on her vaccination site longer as she is on blood thinners, to prevent a big bruise on the injection site. Hope this helps.

Dear @leonida_hegmann There appears to be a displaced fracture of the right clavicle. You should have a discussion with the orthopedics surgeon managing your mother and discuss surgical and non surgical options. You can check with them how long her recovery is likely to take and optimise her sugar control before, during and after surgery. Hope this helps.

Dear @b_itchy. You have likely correctly identified the trigger of your hive (urticaria). A skin prick test will help to identify the allergen that you are sensitive to. You might wish to consult your Family Physician/ designated workplace doctor to assist you in finding out the allergen and workplace modifications can possibly be done to reduce your exposure to the allergens.  Anti histamines such as zyrtec are safe for regular consumption and helps in treating urticaria. You might wish to take anti histamines prior to exposure of your allergens in order to prevent or reduce the severity of your urticaria. Hope this helps.

Dear @srmoore. You should seek medical attention if you are tested positive for COVID-19 and follow the prevailing medical advice by your country's COVID healthcare management team. This might vary from country to country. I would recommend you seek emergency attention if you have any shortness of breath, persistent fever that does not go away with anti-pyretics such as paracetamol or generally unwell. Do get well soon.

Hi @Dae there are several possible causes for this, such as inflammatory conditions/infections. You will need to have a discussion with a doctor to work this out and evaluate what medications you may require based on further assessment accordingly.

This can either be done at a GP clinic near your home, or potentially online via apps that provide video-based consultations, and the attending doctor would be able to prescribe medications and have them delivered to you. Here is a link that shares more about it: https://www.rafflesmedicalgroup.com/raffles-connect/teleconsult/

Dear Rach

I would suggest getting an Xray of the elbow to rule out a fracture or any possible dislocation. It's not uncommon to have a fracture of the elbow when there is axial loading post fall from a bicycle. Especially since your range of movement is limited, I am concerned about any possible bleeding into the joint and swelling that could arise from a fracture or dislocation or ligament tear.

It would be recommended to see an orthopaedic surgeon to do a detailed examination of the elbow and evaluate with Xrays or even possibly a MRI scan.

Hi @malfrands. Is the rash itchy and affecting other parts of the body too?

The rash appears like urticaria which is usually raised and itchy. Urticaria can be due to many possible causes. Most commonly drug-induced, food- induced, viral infection or idiopathic ( Nil obvious trigger).

You might benefit from oral anti-histamines ( if you arent allergic to them). However do consult a doctor if you experience any breathing difficulty/ fever/ worsening rashes. Hope this helps.
